At LVN Jewellery, each ring is meticulously crafted on a custom, made-to-order basis, ensuring a piece that's uniquely tailored to your desires. With our commitment to sustainability, you can take comfort in knowing that your engagement ring is fashioned from eco-friendly materials, all skillfully shaped by expert hands.
Stage 1: Casting Firstly, we transform your unique design into a wax mould. This mould is then coated with an "investment" material, similar to plaster, which is set and baked. As it bakes, the wax inside melts away, creating a precise mold for your ring.
Next, we fill this mould with your selected molten metal. After it sets and cools, what remains is a solid metal replica of your envisioned design!
Stage 2:
Polishing In this phase, meticulous attention is given to perfecting the ring's appearance. Using specialized tools like a polishing wheel combined with a buffing compound, the ring undergoes a transformation from its raw form to a radiant, gleaming finish.
Given the intricacies, the setting of the ring is typically crafted in two distinct parts, ensuring an impeccable polish throughout.
Once the polishing is complete, the setting's claws are meticulously affixed. Our skilled jeweller employs a technique where, using a blowtorch, a fine layer of gold is melted, bonding the setting securely to the band, ensuring both durability and beauty.
Stage 3:
Stone Setting This critical phase involves securely placing the stones into your ring. Given the significance of longevity and durability, ensuring the stones remain steadfast in their setting is paramount, making it one of the pivotal stages in the crafting process.
Stage 4:
The Finishing Details During this phase, your ring undergoes a meticulous final polishing and is treated with a rhodium plating. It then goes through our rigorous quality assurance checks to ensure it meets our high standards. The concluding polish accentuates the brilliance of the metal and guarantees that the gemstones gleam with utmost radiance.
For those choosing white gold, a rhodium plating is applied. Rhodium, known for its silvery luster, is employed to eliminate the inherent yellowish tint of white gold, offering an exceptionally white appearance. This not only imparts a sleek and glossy look but also amplifies its resilience and resistance to scratches.
And there you have it! Your custom-made ring is ready, crafted to perfection.
